By the end of the course you will be able to hold your breath for at least 2 minutes, swim 40 meters in dynamic apnea and dive comfortably between 16 and 20 meters depth.
What will you learn?
The Wave 1 course consists of three main phases:
Knowledge development about fundamental freediving principles.
Confined water sessions to learn breath hold techniques as well as static and dynamic apnea. Goal – static apnea of 2 minutes and dynamic apnea of 40 metres.
Open water sessions to practice free immersion and constant weight freedives, plus proper buddy procedures and rescue techniques. Goal – constant weight freedive of ≥ 16 metres.
To enrol on the Wave 1 course you must be at least 16 years old. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience is required. Medical Certificate required.
